If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem by
yourself, contact Hilti Service.
Trouble or fault
The power tool does not start
and the service indicator is
off.

Disposal
Most of the materials from which Hilti products are manufactured can be recycled. The materials must be
correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appliances
can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti sales representative for further information.
In accordance with the European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implemen-
tation in conformance with national law, electric tools or appliances that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
▶ Disposal of electric tools or appliances together with household waste is not permissible.

Possible cause
Interruption in the electric supply.
The supply cord or plug is defec-
tive.
The on/off switch is defective.
The power tool is faulty.
Carbon brushes are worn.
The gauge (cross section) of the
extension cord conductors is inad-
equate.
The power tool was overloaded
due to application of excessive
feed pressure.
The power tool has overheated due
to prolonged overloading.
Diamond slitting discs not suitable
for the material.
Diamond slitting discs worn.
Action to be taken
▶ Plug in another electric tool or
appliance and check whether it
works.
▶ Have the supply cord and plug
checked by a trained electrical
specialist and replaced if
necessary.
▶ Have the power tool repaired by
Hilti Service.
▶ Have the power tool repaired by
Hilti Service.
▶ Have the power tool checked by
a trained electrical specialist and
the carbon brushes replaced if
necessary.
▶ Use an extension cord with
an adequate conductor cross
section.
▶ Reduce the feed pressure.
▶ Wait a few moments until the
motor has cooled down or allow
the power tool to run under no
load in order to speed up the
cooling-down process.
▶ Use suitable diamond slitting
discs.
▶ Change the diamond slitting
discs.
