3. INSTRUCTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Both versions supply air to the operator by drawing it from the environment. For this reason, the air quality of the
sampling point should be checked carefully because on it depends the safety of the operator that is using the
product.
• Place the air intake away from sources of air pollution such as engine exhaust or other emissions enriched in
harmful gases including possible odourless and tasteless species (for example, CO and CO2) which constitute
an imperceptible danger to the operator.
• Pay attention to the object used to anchor the terminal strainer or the electric blower. At the end of the feeding
tube there is a coarse filter to prevent the entry of objects into the pipeline (eg rubble, dry leaves).
• The device cannot be used outside of the temperature range indicated in the EN 138 standard (-6°C ÷ +40°C).
• The DUCT system in both the configurations should not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• The DUCT A ECO is designed in such a way that in case the electric blower is turned off, the air supply to
the operator does not stop and the latter may safely move away from the contaminated area.
• Indications for use and maintenance, instructions and limitations related to the masks can be found in the
relevant instruction manuals, where for example interferences with the sealing of the mask is emphasized
(eg presence of beard and glasses that can compromise correct operation).
