4. PREPARATION FOR USE

4.1 DUCT ECO
Identify a secure area where to place the end of the air supply hose. If possible, tie this down using the
available anchorage (6) or else with the snap-hook (remove the anchorage). For safe area is to be
intended a place where the air is breathable for all the period of use of the device. The user shall make
sure of the good quality of the air in the intake point and verify the absence of limitations indicated in
par. 3.
Attach the strainer (5) to the air supply hose (4).
Attach the breathing hose (2) to the coupling (3).
Put on the body harness (1) and adapt the lengths of the belt and the shoulder straps.
Attach the air supply hose (4) to the coupling (3).
Put on the mask as indicated in the relevant user's manual.
Attach the other end of the breathing hose (2) to the mask.
4.2 DUCT A ECO
Identify a safe and shaded area, away from heat sources, where to place the electric blower (5). For safe
area is to be intended a place where the air is breathable for all the period of use of the device. The user
shall make sure of the good quality of the air in the intake point and verify the absence of limitations
indicated in par. 3.
Remove one or both of the plugs (7) from the electric blower (according to the number of operators)
and substitute this/these with the bayonet fitting/s (8).
Attach the air supply hose (4) to the electric blower (5).
Attach the electric blower to the electricity supply (230 V, 50 Hz).
Attach the breathing hose (2) to the coupling (3).
Put on the body harness (1) and adapt the lengths of the belt and the shoulder straps.
Attach the air supply hose (4) to the coupling (3).
Put on the mask as indicated in the relevant user's manual.
Attach the other end of the breathing hose (2) to the mask.
Switch on the electric blower (5) and regulate the flow rate according to the need of the operator/s
using the potentiometer that is present on the electric blower itself.
Always make sure that the supply hose is not bent or twisted and that it is not placed in a passage area
for motorized vehicles that could crush it.
4.3 INCREASING THE LENGTH OF THE SERVICE PIPE
The DUCT comes with a 10 m long air supply hose.
It is possible to connect together several hoses (which need to be purchased separately) to obtain different
total lengths.
N.B. The product is designed and certified to function with the following maximum lengths:
20 m for the non-assisted version;
60 m for the assisted version if used by only one operator;
30 m for the assisted version if used by two operators.
