8.2. Arrangements regarding treatments

Before treatment
• Check the patient on the presence of possibly
absolute and relative contra-indications.
• Articles of clothing containing metal or clothing
with metal zippers should be taken off (empty
pockets). Jewellery, watches and metallic pros-
theses should also be taken off.
• Test the sensitivity to warmth of the area to be
treated.
During treatment
• The patient must be in sight of the therapist at all
times.
• The patient is regularly asked to report his/hers
findings. As the patient to report an increase of
the warmth. If necessary the treatment can be
adjusted.
After treatment
• The expected effects are checked.
• The patient is asked to comment subsequently
on any reactions that may occur.
9.1. Technical maintenance
We recommend to have the unit checked annually.
This may be done by your supplier, or by another
agency, authorised by Enraf-Nonius. It is also rec-
ommended that a record of the service history is
kept for all activities relating to service and mainte-
nance. In some countries this is even obligatory.
Maintenance and all repairs should only be carried
out by an authorised agency. Enraf-Nonius will not
be held responsible for the results of maintenance
or repairs by unauthorised persons.
The check up and/or technical maintenance must
be carried out conform the procedure described in
the service manual of the unit.
Opening of the equipment by unauthorised agen-
cies is not allowed and will terminate any claim to
warranty.
9.2. Cleaning of the apparatus
Switch off the unit and disconnect it from the mains
supply.
The apparatus can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Use lukewarm water and a non-abrasive liquid house-
hold cleaner (no abrasive, no alcohol content solu-
tion).
9.3. Cleaning of the radiators and HF-cable
The radiators can be disinfected using a cloth mois-
tened with 70% alcohol. The radiators and HF-cable
may not be sterilized by expose to steam or gas.
Clean the radiators after each use.
The radiators and HF-cable should be regularly in-
spected for damage and bad contacts. Damaged
radiators and a damaged HF-cable may not be used.
9.4. End life span apparatus and
accessories
Your Radarmed and accessories contains materials
which can be recycled and/or are noxious for the
environment. At the end of the duration of life, spe-
cialised concerns can take apart these articles and
sort out the noxious materials and materials for re-
cycling. By doing so you contribute to a better en-
vironment.
Please ensure that you are well informed of the
local rules and regulations regarding to the re-
moval of apparatus and accessories.
