chains are machined into the die block
and marked as follows.

Selecting Punch
Select the punch that matches the
N
chain pitch.

Fit the selected punch (1) in the
N
chuck (2) and clamp it in position
with the setscrew (3).

WARNING
Improper repairs can result in damage to
the chain and increase the risk of injury.
To reduce the risk of injury from the
sharp cutters, wear protective gloves
when working with the saw chain.

Place the die block (4) on the base
N
plate.
Position the chain on the die block –
N
the cutter concerned must face up
and the tie strap must be in the
appropriate recess, e.g. 3/8" Rapid
chain in workholding recess marked
3/8 R or 3/8.
