5. Power supply

You can either connect the hand-held vacu-
um sealer 1 with the power unit 6 or use it
in battery operation.
NOTES:
In this device, no batteries can be
charged.
The device can also be connected to
the mains power supply if batteries
have been inserted.
5.1 Operation with power
unit
1. Figure B: insert the plug 7 of the pow-
er unit 6 into the connecting socket 9 of
the hand-held vacuum sealer 1.
2. Insert the power unit 6 into a readily
accessible wall socket whose voltage
matches the voltage stated on the rating
plate. The wall socket must continue to
be easily accessible after the device is
plugged in.

5.2 Battery operation

For the battery operation you need
6 batteries (1.5 V, AA, LR6) 13. These are
included in the scope of supply.
WARNING! Risk of material
damage!
Be sure to observe the correct polarity
when inserting the batteries. This is
marked inside the battery compartment.
1. Figure C: slide the battery compart-
ment cover 8 a short distance in the di-
rection of the arrow, and remove it
upwards.
2. Insert 6 batteries (1.5 V, AA, LR6) 13
corresponding to the marking inside the
battery compartment.

3. Replace the battery compartment cov-
er 8 and slide it closed until it clicks
into place.

6. Vacuum-sealing bag

The hand-held vacuum sealer 1 can only be
used with special vacuum-sealing bags
(e. g. the vacuum-sealing bags 11 sup-
plied) provided with a suitable valve 12.
The vacuum-sealing bags 11 supplied:
-
are provided with a hermetically seal-
ing double pressure cap 10.
-
have a structured lower inside so it is
easier to suck off the air.
-
are stable at temperatures as low as
-18 °C.
-
are washable.
-
can be reused.
NOTE: in order to protect the vacuum-seal-
ing bags 11 against contamination, you
are able to fill food into an open airtight
bag, and place this then into the vacuum-
sealing bag.
