Operating Instructions
The device should only be used for a maximum
continuous duration of 10 minutes. After
10 minutes it should be allowed to cool down.
Before inflating an item, first determine its own
particular pressure value.
Items to be inflated should be held firmly or
clamped.
Ensure that there is a proper connection be-
tween the device and the item to be inflated.
The air outlet and adapter must always be kept
clean and free of blockage. When using out-
doors, ensure that no sand enters the venting
slit 14 .
The screwed cap 1 must be screwed on tightly,
especially when the adapters are being used,
and must not be unscrewed during operation.
Only use properly matching adapters.
In order to prevent the device from switching
on unintentionally, the transport safety-lock
switch should be set when the device is not in
use.
As a general rule, the flexible pressure tubing 2
should always be used for inflating at places
that are not easily accessible. In this case, un-
screw the screw cap 1 . Insert the flexible pres-
sure tubing 2 by winding it in, and screw on the
screw cap again, tightly.
Inflating vehicle tyres
For inflating vehicle tyres, connect the air pump
onto the valve of the vehicle directly, or by means
of the flexible pressure tubing 2 .
Since the pressure display is not cali-
brated and is therefore not binding for
exact values, the tyre pressure must be
checked using a calibrated measuring
device before driving the vehicle.

Inflating bicycle tyres
For inflating bicycle tyres fitted with standard
valves, screw the adapter 4 onto the valve. Con-
nect the air pump to adapter 4 , or turn the flexible
pressure tubing into adapter 4 and inflate the bi-
cycle tyre until the desired pressure is reached.
For bicycle tyres fitted with an automatic valve
(e. g. mountain bike), connect the air pump di-
rectly onto the valve or use the flexible pressure
tubing 2 .
Inflating other items
For inflating toys, sports and beach articles, use
the respective ball adapter 3 or the air-bed
adapter 5 .
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, re-
move the battery.
The storage location must be dry and frost-
free. Do not expose the machine to strong
sunlight for a longer period as temperatures
exceeding 50 °C will damage it.
If the machine should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorised after-sales
service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
Guarantee
We guarantee Bosch appliances in accordance
with statutory/country-specific regulations (proof
of purchase by invoice or delivery note).
Damage attributable to normal wear and tear,
overload or improper handling will be excluded
from the guarantee.
In case of complaint please send the machine,
undismantled, to your dealer or the Bosch Serv-
ice Centre for electric power tools.
