Brief instructions for use

These brief instructions contain only the
most important steps for the use of the
appliance. For safety reasons we recom-
mend to read the detailed instructions
(see following pages) where all important
functions are described. Carefully follow
the safety instructions on page 17.
1. Placement
- Place the appliance on the silicone iron-
rest mat. Choose a dry, firm surface near
a power socket.
- Use the iron in dry rooms only.
- Use only a fit extension cord (3 earthing
poles and a wire with a section of 1 mm
pay attention not to trip over the cord.
2. Filling the appliance with water
- Pull the plug out of the mains socket
- Open the tank cup (6) and fill with water.
Max capacity: 0.35 litres
Important: do not overfill the water tank
or place the iron under a tap to fill it: elec-
tric shock hazard! Follow the indications
about water on page 23
- Close the tank cup
3. Starting the appliance
- Insert the plug into the mains socket (220-
240 V / 50-60 Hz)
- The iron turns on by setting the tempera-
ture control to the required ironing tem-
perature
- To steam iron, always set the tempera-
ture control to the area between

- The iron heats up in about 2 minutes
- As soon as the red light indicator goes off
the iron is ready to use
- Press the "steam button" on the iron
Attention: the steam coming out of the
iron is hot!

Steam button
- After turning the iron on or after a long
pause direct the first steam jet towards
the air and not towards the garment so
that the water condensed still in the iron
can be expelled without staining the gar-
ments.
- While emitting the first steam jet, the pres-
sure goes down rapidly. It is not a fault, it
is a normal phenomenon.
4. After ironing
- Set the temperature control to "OFF"
- The iron turns off pulling the plug out of
the mains socket (the appliance does
NOT turn off when the temperature con-
trol is on OFF. Fire hazard!)
- Note: Let the iron cool down
- Open the refilling cup of the tank
- Hold the iron over the sink and empty the
water tank
5. Cleaning/Maintenance
- Regularly maintain the appliance (see
page 26/27)
