8.0 Technical specifications

8.1 Safety devices

8.1.1
The BLUE MAX mini type 2/6 is equipped with an undervol-
tage release device preventing the machine from starting
unexpectedly after voltage failure. In addition, thermocoup-
les in the motor winding protect the motor from overloading
(overload protection).
8.1.2
A movable protective shield (fracture-proof) protects the
operator from the drill bits while they are running. It also
affords protection from flying swarf and encloses the suc-
tion extraction zone.
8.1.3
The connection for the suction extractor also prevents per-
sons from reaching into the rear section of the machine.
8.1.4
Safety devices serve the purpose of ensuring personal safety.
For this reason they must not be adjusted or taken out of
operation.
8.1.5
Please refer to the section on "General safety warnings" in
the operating instructions for further details on safety while
working with the BLUE MAX mini 2/6.

Electrical system

Connecting the device to the electrical power supply. The device is
equipped with a connection lead of approx. 2 m in length and a plug
(for configuration, refer to table).
Requirements on the electrical power supply
For your own safety, instruct a qualified electrician to connect the
machine for stationary use. The requisite connection data are shown
on the rating plate on the machine.

The machine must only be connected to a power supply system
meeting the national regulations applicable in the country in which
it is used. The electrical safety of this device is only ensured if it is
connected to a protective conductor system in compliance with the
regulations. It is very important to check that this fundamental
safety requirement is met and that the system is provided with

8.3 Noise emission

The A-weighted equivalent continuous sound level at the workplace
of the operating personnel is the energetic mean calculated from the
readings of five measurements taken over the course of one work
cycle.
BLUE MAX mini, hand lever and motor type 2/6: 85 dB (A)

8.4 Suction extraction

The automatic drilling machines are equipped as standard with a
suction extractor.
It is compulsory to connect the machine to a suction extractor system
by means of a flexible hose which must be flame-retardant.
A suction extractor line is not supplied with the machine.
– Outer diameter (suction extractor ports)
– Volume rate of flow
– Static pressure at 20 m/s
