The unit has a remote socket to which you can connect a foot pedal or a pulse unit.
This requires that a control cable is connected between the TIGAID unit and the re-
mote socket on the power source.
The foot pedal has current regulation and a start pulse switch built in. It I also poss-
ible to set the maximum current by means of a potentiometer. The foot pedal is sup-
plied with the necessary connections and cable
An external pulse unit, PHA5, can also be connected to TIGAID. During pulse oper-
ation the current is varied between two preset values.
The length of each pulse can also be adjusted to give the desired pulse effect.
This makes it easier to weld thin materials by permitting better control of the heat

input and penetration.
Reduced deformation due to lower heat input.

Better control over grain growth in weld metal and in the heat affected zone.

NOTE! Before connecting any remote device to TIGAID 315 AC/DC make sure the
current control ( 8 ) is set to the max. position.
