Bluetooth Connection

A bluetooth connection attempt is made when you activate non-memory mode. (The
SmartReader can be configured to complete a Bluetooth search in either operating
mode, i.e. memory or non-memory, using the Configurator Utility.)
One of the Bluetooth search screens below will display, depending on whether slave
devices have been added in the Configurator Utility (on the Bluetooth tab):
Screen 1:
If no slave devices
have been added.
Is a Bluetooth connection required?
If...
then...
yes
wait while a connection is made.
The following screen displays and confirmation of a
connection is shown by the Bluetooth symbol on the
screen:
no
a single trigger click will cancel this attempt.
The following screen displays:
Note: A single trigger click on Screen 2 (above), will
result in Screen 3 displaying. Another single trigger
click will then result in this screen displaying.

Screen 2:
If slave devices have been
added, the SmartReader
takes on ‘'Master’' mode, and
searches for one of its slave
devices.
Screen 3:
If the SmartReader cannot find a
slave device it automatically
transforms to a slave and looks for
a master device, (e.g. the RS232
adaptor attached to scales).
