The pump can be set at work only if the machine in which it is installed conforms to the safety standards
established by the European Directives. This fact is guaranteed by the cE mark applied and by the
Declaration of conformity provided by the manufacturer of the machine in which the pump is installed.
• The mechanical connection of the pump to the power source can be made through pulley and belt, with universal
joint shaft, or by flanging it directly to the power source.
• The rotation of the eccentric shaft can be in both directions.
• The pump must be installed on a horizontal level without the interposition of elastic elements and perfectly in line
with the mechanical components.
• The pipe, fittings and clamps located at the delivery must have nominal pressure no less than the maximum rated
pressure of the pump. The replacement of the suction and delivery fittings provided by the manufacturer on the
pump with others of a lesser diameter may affect the correct functioning of the pump and will thus void the warranty
on the pump.
• Be sure that pump is attached to a strong base piate and anchor it with bolts sufficiently strong to hold it in piace.
• The machine suction circuit must be in a position to include a filter of capacity adequate to the delivery rate of the
pump and should be designed such as to generate a vacuum not greater than -0.25 bar. This value is measured by
affixing a vacuum gauge at the pump suction fitting.
• The figure indicates that the maximum inclination permitted of the pump to ensure proper lubrication of the crank
is 5° maximum (fig. 1).
• Always remember to fit the safety cone on the transmission shaft so as to prevent persons from being injured.
• Since the pump is the displacement type, it must always be equipped with a pressure regulating valve.
• Do not use the pump if it has been subjected to strong impact.
• Do not use the pump if there are evident oil leaks.
• Take great care when using the pump in places where there are moving vehicles that could crush or damage the
delivery hose and spray gun.
