Maintenance
Observe the national regulations applicable to
the maintenance, servicing and test of
electrical apparatus as well as the general
rules of engineering (e.g. IEC 60079-17)!
For dust explosive application, pay special
attention don't have present dust layers above
5 mm on side of the apparatus!
8.
Servicing
The responsable of the safe use of these
apparatus is the property!
When servicing, in particular those components that
affect the explosion protection , will have to cheked,
e.g.:
- Housing and glass for any cracks or damage.
- The flameproof joint have to be clean,
undameged, without corrosion and perfect
greassed.
- Gaskets for their perfect conditions.
- Cable entries whitout corrosion.
- Terminlas and blanking plugs for their firm fix.
- Lamp replacement in acc. with the manufacturer
instructions.
- Type of lamps used in acc. with the luminaire
specifications.
The flameproof of these apparatus have to be
greassed permanentlly in order to ensure it
protection in front of the corrosion, water
ingrees and seize-up problems. Cleaning rest
of greasse and corrosion no using sharp
metallic devices who can damage the surface
of the joint, and greasing they using apropiate
greasse thermically and chemically stable, like
e.g.: Molikote
BR2 plus.
Ò
When the housing need to be repainted, pay
attention that the flameproof joints rest without
any part with coating!
Lamp replacement: Keep replacement intervals as
specified by the lamp manufacturer!

The green LED display signal important conditions / errors of the emergency light fitting. For more than
one event at the same time, the priority will determine over the signal to be displayed.
Example:
For "lamp error "and "cannot charge" conditions at the same the time, "lamp error" will be displayed
according to the below table.
The green LED will be on during 255ms and off during 765ms and so on.

Inspection
The nationals regulations have to be observed!
E.g. in Spain the inspections of the installations in
hazardous areas, have to be done by "qualified"
personnel in accordance with the Electrotechnical
Low Votage Regulation following the indications
stablished in IEC 60079-17.
When the inspections are in degree of
"Detailled" or "Closed", the light fittings have
to be disconnected from the main conection!
10.
Repairing
The nationals regulations have to be
observed. The tasks of repairing have to be
made by "qualified" personnel
The reparation of the sealed part between the
housing and the glass have to be done by

When the flameproof enclosure will be open, an
internal switch cuts off the emergency operate
after the first moved thread pitch. In this stage are
more than 5 thread pitches mated and the
conditions of flameproof enclosure will be
warranted.
When the assembly unit will be removed, an
additional connection will be opened via a second
switch. It separated the battery from all units, so
this battery is a stand alone source only
connected to the monitoring circuit without further
connection to any other components.
For repair electrical equipments in protection
mode is suggested follow the instructions
indicated in IEC 60079-19.

Only change the battery from the mounting
plate in non hazardous areas.
Only use certified genuine CCH/CEAG, spare
parts.
- Open the threaded cover (fig. 3.)
- Disconnet the terminal plugs (fig. 3.3)
- Remove the mounting plate (fig. 3.4 - 3.5).
The mounting plate can be removed in hazardous
areas without additional protection for relamping,
- Unscrew the battery from the mounting plate.
- Include new battery in reverse order.
- Observe the polarisation of the battery, when
installing.
- Include mounting plate with new battery in
reverse order.
