FEATURES
Model KOBRA 4OO WB is a centralized shredder
suitable for shredding paper coming from the office
waste baskets as well as shredding of regular paper
and computer print-outs. For shredding and capacity
features please refer to pag 15.
INSTALLATION
Open the front door, pull out the plastic bag holder
(3) from its housings (4). Remove the shipping safely
screws (5). Position the plastic bag (6) around the
plastic bag holder (3), place it on the housings (4)
and push them back into the cabinet. Close the front
door.
OPERATION
Connect the machine to the power supply outlet
(check if voltage and frequency indicated on the data
label of the machine are the same of your electrical
supply). Press the (D) button in ON position. The
STAND-BY light (1) on the panel board will light up.
- AUTOMATIC START/STOP THROUGH ELECTRONIC
EYES
When the push button (C) is off (no Iight), the
machine is on Stand-By mode and it is ready to start
shredding the paper. By inserting the paper through
the front opening (F) the machine is automatically
activated through the electronic eyes which will also
stop the machine when shredding is completed.
- SHREDDING THROUGH AUTOMATIC FEEDING
SYSTEM
To shred the paper contained into the waste baskets
just empty the waste basket into the hopper and
press the button (C). The button will light up and the
machine will start shredding the paper in the hopper
on continuous mode. When the paper contained
into the hopper has been completly shredded turn
the machine on Stand-by mode by switching off the
button (C) (light Off).
In case too much paper is fed into the cutting knives,
the electronic of the unit is switching automatically
the rotation of the cutting knives from forward mode
to reverse mode until the machine is free from
the paper iam. It is anyway possible to control the
operation of the machine by using the STOP button
(A) and the REVERSE button (B). The excess of paper
can also be removed manually by opening the upper
front door of the machine which stops automatically
the shredding operation.
IMPORTANT!
When the STOP button (A) is pressed all machine
functions are not actii/ated. To reset the machine to
Stand-by mode press for few seconds the REVERSE
button (B)
AUTOMATIC FUNCTIONS
- Automatic STOP in case of bag full or open doors
(upper and lower door).

- Automatic REVERSE system in case of paper jam.
- Automatic motor thermal overload. In case of motor
overheating an automatic thermal protection stops
the motor. After a cooling time of approximately 15
minutes the machine will reset automatically and be
ready for normal operation.
ATTENTION:
If the automatic motor thermal protection is
activated the machine cannot be operated even if
the Stand-by lamp is on.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your Kobra 400 WB shredder does not require
special maintenance. In order to keep the cutting
knives cleaned from the paper dust, a sheet of paper
with some machine oil on it should be shredded or
lubricate directly the cutting knives with machine oil.
The introduction of metal into cutting knives may
affect the quality cut and cause damages to the
cutting knives which will not be covered by the
manufacturer warranty.

COMPUTER FORMS SHELL (E)
Easy to install, it is designed to make shredding of
continuous computer printouts easier.
WARNING!
Model KOBRA 4OOWB has been designed to shred
most of the items contained in the office waste bin:
Paper, CD-Roms, FloppyDisks, Pencils, etc. without
any damage to the cutting mechanism.
Make sure that metal objects like staplers, ile
metal mechanisms, are not inserted into the
machine through the hopper. This may cause
irreversible damages to the cutting knives not
covered by the manufacturer warranty.
