Replacing Carbon Brushes:

When the resin insulating tip inside a carbon brush (9) is
exposed to contact the commutator, it will automatically shut
off the motor. When this occurs, both carbon brushes should
be replaced at the same time. Use only identical carbon
brushes. See Figure 7
- Figure 7 -
1. Use a 5 mm hex wrench to remove the four screws (58)
and washers (59) from the motor housing cover (60). Lift off
the motor housing cover. See Figure 8.

(10). See Figure 9.

place.
4. Secure the brush holder caps.
5. Place the motor housing cover back onto the unit and
install the four screws and washers.
Lubrication:
This tool requires no hourly or daily lubrication because it
has a grease-packed lubrication system. It should be relubri-
cated after every 6 months of operation. Send the complete
tool to an Authorized Service Center for this service.
If circumstances require that you must lubricate the tool
yourself, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off and unplug the tool.
2. Use a screwdriver to remove the four screws with washers
(113) from the plate (111). Remove the plate. See Figure 10.
