Installing an Accessory:

Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged
before installing or removing the bit
This tool accepts bits either with or without a collar on the
shank. See Figure 1.

Refer to the appropriate procedure below to install the bit.
Installing a Bit With a Collar:
1. Pivot the tool retainer (78) back and slightly downward.
2. Insert the bit into the tool holder (83) as far as it will go.
3. Return the tool retainer (78) to its original position to
securely retain the bit. See Figure 2.
Always assure that the bit is securely retained by
attempting to pull the bit out of the tool holder after com-
pleting the above procedure.
A bit without a collar cannot be retained by this method.
INSTALLATION
Installing a Bit Without a Collar:
1. Pivot the tool retainer (78) back and slightly downward.
2. With the notched portion of the bit facing the tool
retainer shaft (79), insert the bit into the tool holder as far
as it will go.
3. Pivot the tool retainer (78) further downward towards the
cylinder (72) to securely retain the bit. See Figure 3.
Always assure that the bit is securely retained by
attempting to pull the bit out of the tool holder after com-
pleting the above procedure.
