Preparation for treatment

- Please follow the hygiene regulations before the device is used for
the first time, before it is re-used, and after any long break in use.
- Ensure that the PARI PEP System was cleaned, disinfected and,
if appropriate, sterilised after the last treatment (see Chapter 6
"Hygienic re-use").
4.1 Assembling the PARI PEP
4.1.1

Treatment without PARI nebuliser

Figure A:
Follow these steps to assemble the PARI PEP System:
• Place the PEP upper part (2) on the PEP I lower part (3).
• Place the mouthpiece without expiratory valve (1) over the other end of the
PEP I lower part.
4.1.2

Treatment in combination with PARI nebuliser

Figure C:
Follow these steps to assemble the PARI PEP System:
• Remove the inspiratory valve (10a) and the mouthpiece with the expiratory
valve (10b) from the PARI nebuliser (10).
• Place the PEP upper part (2) on the PEP I lower part (3) and then place
both together on the PARI nebuliser.
• Place the included mouthpiece without expiratory valve (1) over the
PARI nebuliser.
