SEITE 3 - 148 x 210 mm - 086/0/-/51+ F -
If the two lamp error indication lights flash and an acoustical
signal (three sounds) is emitted, the lamps have been
activated for a total of 9999 times (display shows 99) and
the lamps must be replaced (please refer to the section on
Malfunctions - "End of lamp life" and "Maintenance and
Care").
Subsequently, the display shows "Pu" (for a period of three
seconds) and the red vacuum error indication lamp lights
up. If you press the "Start" button during this time interval,
the vacuum pump regeneration program (duration of
99 minutes) is initiated (for details please refer to the Visio
Beta vacuum pump's operating instructions). The unit is
ready for use once all lamps are off.
Filling the polymerization chamber
The lid of the polymerization chamber opens once the "Lid"
button is pressed. Materials to be polymerized may be
placed in the polymerization chamber in any arrangement
or order. Please ensure that the parts do not overlap! Then
close the lid by folding it down.
ATTENTION
Crowns and bridges must be placed in the chamber without
the plaster cast as the residual water content of the plaster
prevents the required vacuum from being established,
and may damage the vacuum pump. (Exception: part 1 of
program 4).
Program selection
Use the buttons, "P1" through "P4", to select one of the
following four programs. The selected program is indicated
by a green illuminated area:
Program 1:
1 min illumination, 14 min illumination and
vacuum
Application: Final polymerization of Sinfony, manufactured
by 3M ESPE
Program 2: 7 min illumination, 10 sec illumination and
vacuum
Application: Opaquer polymerization for multiple veneer
units or for coating cast retentions with
Opaquer Pink
Program 3: 1 min illumination, 1 min illumination and
vacuum
Application: Polymerization of cold light-curable dental
materials at a wavelength between 400 and
500 nm
Program 4: 4 min illumination, pause,
4 min illumination and vacuum
Application: Polymerization of light-curing tray materials
During the break (display shows "2.-", three
short beeps are emitted) open the lid and
remove the plaster cast. The second part of
the program is initiated by pressing the
"Start" button.
Start-up of the program
After selecting the desired program, press the "Start"
button upon which the program proceeds automatically.
(If you fail to start up the program within 10 seconds
SCHWARZ
- 03-0132 (sr)
after selecting any of programs 2, 3 or 4, the device
automatically returns to program 1 for safety reasons.)
During the execution of the program the remaining time is
displayed in units of minutes (in units of seconds in the
second part of program 2). All programs can be terminated
by pressing the "Stopp" button.
After completion of the program, the lid of the polymeriza-
tion chamber opens automatically, the signal indicating the
end of the program (5 short beeps) is emitted, and the unit
automatically returns to program 1. The work pieces may
now be removed from the chamber and processed without
delay.
6. Malfunction
Both the vacuum and the lamps are controlled by the unit.
The user is notified of any operating errors by means of the
three red error indication lights and an acoustical signal.
The vacuum pump shuts itself off if the required vacuum
fails to be established during polymerization. The unit
should not be shut off at this point, since the polymerization
process can be continued for the remaining polymerization
time (by pressing the "Start" button) once the source of the
error has been eliminated.
Controls to be carried out in case of a vacuum error:
- Check the hose between the unit and the vacuum pump
for leaks
- Check the rubber gasket for leaks and the glass cover
plate of the polymerization chamber for contamination.
Controls to be carried out in case of a lamp error:
- Restart the program to make sure the operating error is
not caused by a single short failure of the lamp to light
up. If the operating error persists, the pair of lamps must
be replaced (please refer to "Maintenance and Care").
End of lamp life:
The two red lamp error indication lights and a triple
acoustical signal are activated once the lamp has been
turned on for a total of 9999 times (display shows 99).
At this point the lamps need to be replaced (please refer
to "Maintenance and Care") since the performance of the
lamps may no longer be sufficient to ensure proper
polymerization.
This signal is emitted each time the power button is
activated and each time a program ends or is terminated.
After replacement of all four lamps, the lamp activation
counter must be reset to zero. In order to do so, turn the
unit off, then press the buttons, "Start/Stopp" and "Lid"
(keep depressed), and turn on the power switch.
7. Maintenance
ATTENTION
In order to avoid any wear-related loss of lamp performance
and to ensure proper polymerization, all four Visio Beta
fluorescent lamps LB1, manufactured for 3M ESPE,
