- nadat ongeveer 2 kopjes water doorgestroomd zijn, het apparaat uitschakelen en een half uurtje laten
staan; het ontkalkingsmiddel kan dan inwerken. Hierna het apparaat weer inschakelen; als al het water
met ontkalkingsmiddel doorgestroomd is, het apparaat nog drie keer met schoon water laten werken om
alle restanten ontkalkingsmiddel eruit te spoelen.
LET OP: laat tussen iedere 'doorspoelbeurt' het apparaat een minuut of drie afkoelen. Bij verkalkte
apparaten vervalt de garantie.
PRINCESS-TIPS
- Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak.
- Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.
- Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het eraf zou
kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen struikelen of
erachter blijven haken. Bedenk dat de kan gevuld is met heet water!
- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het dan naar
onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend met speciaal
gereedschap door onze servicedienst vervangen worden.
- Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d.
- Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.
- Het warmhoudplaatje wordt erg heet: zorg dat kinderen er niet bij kunnen en wees er zelf ook
voorzichtig mee.
- Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.
- Het is niet zonder gevaar om dit apparaat te laten gebruiken door kinderen of personen met een
geestelijke of lichamelijke handicap, of met te weinig ervaring of deskundigheid. De voor de veiligheid
van deze gebruikers verantwoordelijke persoon dient ze duidelijke instructies te geven voor of ze te

BEFORE USING
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
The luxury coffeemaker brews 10-12 cups, features a convenient removable filter with anti-drip,
water-level indicator, safe thermostatic control and on/off switch with indicator light.

USING THE COFFEEMAKER

First let the water circulate through the PRINCESS COFFEE MAKER PIANO BLACK without adding
any coffee, in order to cleanse the system. Afterwards, rinse the stainless steel pot and the filter holder.
Fill the reservoir/tank with water and place a filter paper (size 1x4) in the filter holder. Place the pot on
the hotplate and turn on the PRINCESS COFFEE MAKER PIANO BLACK. Use approx. three full
measures of coffee for a full pot of water. This will produce a medium coffee.
CAUTION: After making coffee, wait at least 5 minutes before making another pot, in order to let the
appliance cool off.

KEEPING WARM

The beautifully polished stainless steel pot keeps the coffee warm and delicious for hours. The exact
temperature depends on many factors, such as how often the pot is opened to pour coffee,
how much coffee there was initially, and what the initial temperature was. To improve the
heat storage capability of the pot, rinse it with hot water before using.
Do not leave any leftover coffee in the pot for long periods as this can leave a bitter
residue. After rinsing leave the pot to dry with the lid off.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING. Rinse the pot and the
filter holder. These parts are not dishwasher-safe. The outside of the PRINCESS COFFEE
MAKER PIANO BLACK can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
