Slow Juicing Tips
Please read the instruction manual carefully and follow the below juicing
suggestion for best results, as a slow juicer has different operating instructions
than that of a traditional juicer.
• Carefully drop food into the Food Chute. The Pusher provided is only for use
if any food obstructs the inside of the Food Chute. Do not overstuff, shove or
force the food down.
• Cut food into slim 3-inch pieces for best juicing results. For best results, insert
foods slowly to allow pulp to be extracted, do not over stuff or rush the juicing
process.
• Do not put any frozen fruit, vegetables or ice into the unit.
• Combine leafy greens with a variety of fruit for the best results.
• When juicing foods like carrots or beets, it will be necessary to combine them
with other fruits and vegetables with a higher water content to increase the
amount of juice yielded.
• When juicing foods with a lot of seeds like tomatoes and cucumbers, the
Strainer might clog. Pour water through the Food Chute to unclog it before
continuing to juice.
• Please read the enclosed recipes included with the Platino for other creative
ideas.
• For a more detailed fruits and vegetables slicing chart, visit our website at
www.fagoramerica.com.
NOTE
If the Platino jams/clogs or stops operating turn it off, and switch to reverse
(REV) for 3-5 seconds. Switch to ON to continue juicing. Repeat this process if
necessary. While operating in reverse the Food Chute may come loose, this is
perfectly normal.
