Starting up the appliance
The hand mixer is designed for whisking, kneading and beating soft and fluid

Whisks: for runny foods/doughs (e.g. beverages, sauces, pizza dough, frothy
whipped desserts and whipped cream etc.)

Please clean all parts as described in the 'cleaning and care' section before allow-
ing them to come into contact with food.
Make sure that the device is switched off and disconnected from the power
supply.
Insert the mixer accessories in the two openings on the underside of the appli-
ance. Only insert the kneading hook with the ring on the shaft in the wide
opening. The kneading hook without a ring may only be inserted in the nar-
row opening. Both whisks fit in the wide and narrow openings. Turn the mixer
accessories slightly until you hear them lock into place.
Only use matching pairs of mixer accessories. Never use a whisk and a kneading
hook together as this could damage the appliance.
Put the ingredients into a stable container. Make sure that the container is high
enough and wide enough.
Now insert the mains plug into a socket.
Place the mixer accessories in the food and set the desired mixing speed using the
speed controller.
In order to reduce spray from the food, first mix the contents on a low speed
setting and then slowly increase the speed as required.
