Safety notes
Warning, risk of injury! The lower edges of the
top part of the ventilation are sharp.
Warning, appliance may fall over! Do not place
the top part of the ventilation upright on the
floor.
Warning! Do not jam connecting cable during
installation.
Warning! Only connect the appliance to the
mains when it has been built in.
The appliance must be installed and connected by
an authorised specialist. Observe the installation
instructions and regional regulations.
The installer must explain to the user how the appliance
can be isolated from the mains whenever required.
Notes on installation
Combination of the table ventilation with an
electric cooktop is permitted up to a maximum
output of 12 kW.
Operation in combination with gas cooktops is
not permitted.
AT 400-131 is suitable for combination with three
Gaggenau Vario 400 appliances. AT 400-101 is
suitable for combination with two Vario 400
appliances or electric cooktops up to a width of
95 cm.
When installing together with Vario appliances, the
appliance cover (VD 400) needs to be removed.
The frying basket holder cannot be used when
operating the deep fryer VF 411 in front of the table
ventilation.
Ovens that do not exceed the maximum allowed
cabinet temperature can be combined with the table
ventilation if built-in situation permits.
Do not use the fan housing as a support base. An
intermediate shelf in the base cupboard must be
removable.
Exhaust-air mode
The exhaust air is conveyed upwards via a
ventilation shaft or directly through the outer
wall to the exterior.
Note: The exhaust air must not be conveyed into a
functioning smoke or exhaust gas flue or into a
shaft which is used to ventilate
installation rooms which contain heating
appliances.
Before conveying the exhaust air into a non-
functioning smoke or exhaust gas flue, obtain
the consent of the appropriate heating
engineer.
Discharge exhaust air in accordance with the
official and statutory regulations (e.g. regional
building laws).
If the exhaust air is conveyed through the outer
wall, a telescopic wall box should be used.
Accessories for installation
You can order the following accessories for
installation:
AA 409-400: Furniture support 86 cm for
AT 400-101
AA 409-430: Furniture support 116 cm for
AT 400-131
Recommended as bearer for the worktop, instead of
a cabinet frame, or to support the fan housing,
replacing the need for a cabinet base.
AA 409-900: Telescopic extension for AT 400-101
AA 409-930: Telescopic extension for AT 400-131
Telescopic extension max. 110 mm between table
ventilation and fan housing.
AA 010-410: Air exhaust grille for AT 400-101/131.
Stainless steel colour, 90cm as IK 300. Including
installation fittings. Height adjustable.
ZB 020-090: Additional louvre for air exhaust grille
AA 010-410. Height 30 mm, several louvres can be
installed.
AD 7.. : Cylindrical pipe ducts for air extraction
AD 8.. : Flat rectangular ducts for air extraction

AA 409-100: Activated carbon filter and grease fine
filter for AT 400-101
AA 409-130: Activated carbon filter and grease fine
