5. OPERATION
5.1 Before operation
Before starting the machine, carry out a general safety check:
1. Check if the machine is clear of all objects, all switches are off and any danger area
is clear of bystanders.
2. Area must be clean and free from obstructions, e.g. nothing placed in the dividing bowl.
3. Check or place the electrical cord in the appropriate socket and turn power 'On'.
dough is to be cut by means of the blades that are in the machine. If you use the
machine with one of the optional grids but want to press the dough first, you put the
hard pressing plate at the bottom of the bowl before putting the dough. That way, the
knives will be blocked and you can press the dough for as long as you want by holding
the UP button. After pressing, you open the lid (first reduce the pressure on the lid by
shortly pressing the DOWN button) and you close the grid frame with the appropriate
grid to divide the dough the way you want.

The lever that is at the front of the machine can be used to set the
time you want the machine to press the dough. When the lever is
at the left side, the machine will shortly press the dough before the
blades start cutting the dough. The further the lever is put to the
right, the longer the time the dough will be pressed before the
blades start cutting the dough. This setting is useful when the
machine is being used as a regular hydraulic divider, that is, if the
