IMPORTANT ADVICE

- if any person is under the load.
y Always turn hoist in correct direction, as per label under the handle. Do not continue to turn
handle when load is fully lowered.
y Never turn hoist in opposite direction to use, as shown on label. This would cause the brake
mechanism to fail.
y Never leave the trolley within reach of children or people who do not know how to operate
the hoist.
y Never disassemble or alter hoist.
y Never exceed load stated on the labelling plate.
y Never use hoist with a damaged cable.
y Hoist has a self-braking system. However, braking mechanism requires a minimum load of
approx. 8 kg to operate.

PERIODICAL INSPECTION

y This fork lift carries CE marking, and is subject to periodical general verifications, in accordance
with current legislation and at least every 6 months. User is responsible for these checks.
UPKEEP
y Clean manually with any product for stainless steel.
y Regular upkeep by skilled personnel is required. Ensure the hoist's internal components are well
greased. Unscrew the two screws that fasten the black plastic box J. Pull the latter slightly and
slide the grease on the mechanical parts. Use grease such as Molydal 3790.
y General information on stainless steel : The term "stainless steel" can cause some confusion. It
is steel which "resists" to corrosion in certain conditions.
Any type of stainless steel can be corroded:
- austenitic, e.g. "stainless steel 304" also called 18/10.
- ferritic, e.g. "F17" or "F18TNb".
Resistance to corrosion of stainless steel results from the existence of a passive layer of chro-
mium oxide which is renewed spontaneously when in contact with the air. Any phenomenon
interfering with the creation of this layer is likely to cause corrosion.
This is why stainless steel surfaces must be regularly rid of miscellaneous contamination which
may damage the level of resistance of the passive layer, and also ensure the maintenance steps
are observed. (Preparation to cleaning / cleaning / rinsing / disinfection / rinsing / drying).
