The tensioning of the toothed belt is carried out during the cylinder assembly process and in the case of
an application that generates a strong vibration, it is advisable to check this periodically.
Proceedure
1 Take off the motor and motor mounting kit from the cylinder.
(see previous section "Parallel motor assembling").
2 Take off the plug pos.1.
3 Extract the tensioning cylinder rod pos.2 (code 18DP1)
and screw the threaded end in the flange hole pos.3.
4 Rest the tensioner cylinder pos.2 on the belt unit box.
5 Loosen the four screws pos.4.
6 Connect compressed air supply pos.5 (G1/8").
7 Ensure you use the correct pressure (see table above).
8 Feed the tensioning cylinder pos.2 to the established pressure.
9 Remove and restore the pressure several times to stabilize the components,
checking the free sliding of the flange pos.3.
10 Maintaining a constant and correct pressure, now tighten the four screws. Pos.4.
11 Relieve the pressure and remove from the compressed air supply. Pos.5.
12 Unscrew the tensioning cylinder rod pos.2 reinstall the plug. Pos.3
13 Re-Assemble the motor and motor mounting kit
(see previous section "Parallel motor assembling").
Storage
Storing for short time in clean environment, indoor, dry, temperature -20°C/+60°C
Don't admitted contact with corrosive substance.
Protect the device from: abrasive powders, sunrays, sparks or welding residues,
acid sustances, degreasers and humidity.
Disposal
The electro cylinders series 1800 are made with different materials: aluminium, steel, stainless
steel, cupper, plastic and lubricant substances. In case of disposal, separate the components in
base of the material and in according to national and international rules. Recovery and disposal
in appropriate method the lubricant substances (grease).
