NOTE:
A buzzingnoiseis producedwhen the motor is about
to rotate;this is only a noise,not a machinefailure.
If the nut is only loosely fitted to the bolt, the bolt
may turn with the nut, therefore mistaking proper
tightening.
In this case, stop impact on the nut and
hold the bolt head with a wrench before restarting
impact, or manually tighten the bolt and nut to
prevent them slipping.
11. Using the hook
The hook is used to hang up the power tool to your
waist belt while working.
Changerotation speed
As shown in Fig. 9, when the rotation changelever

is slid to the lower side, the power mode (P)is set.

And when slid to upper side, the save mode (S) is
set.
Pleaseuse the save mode (S) when you want to

lower Maximum tightening torque.

CAUTION
In the work of the save mode (S), avoid the
continuous screw-tightening
as temperature
of
electronic components of the converter switch
increases.
Tightening and looseningscrews
Install the bit that matchesthe screw, line up the bit
inthe groovesof the headof the screw,then tighten
it.
Pushthe impact driver/wrenchjust enough to keep
the bit fitting the headof the screw.

CAUTION
Applyingthe impact driver/wrench for too long
tightensthe screwtoo muchandcanbreakit.
Tightening ascrew with the impactdriver/wrench
at anangleto that screwcandamagethe headof
the screw and the proper force will not be
transmittedto the screw.
Tightenwith this impactdriver/wrenchlinedup
straightwith the screw.
10. Tightening and loosening bolts
A hex. socket matchingthe bolt or nut mustfirst be
selected.Then mount the socket on the anvil, and
grip the nut to be tightened with the hex. socket.
Holding the wrench in line with the bolt, press the
power switch to impactthe nut for severalseconds.

CAUTION
When usingthe hook,hang up the power tool
firmlynotto dropaccidentally.

Whencarrying the powertoolwith hooked to your
waist belt,do notfit any bit to the tip of power
tool. If the sharpbit suchas drill is fitted to the
powertool whencarryingit with hookedto your
waist belt,youwill be injured.
Install s ecurely t hehook.Unless thehookissecurely
installed, i t maycause aninjurywhileusing.

Remove the screws fixing the hook with Philips
