DANGER
In exceptional cases (e.g. prior damage
to the separating element in the hydraulic
accumulator), a mixture of nitrogen and
operating fluid may escape (from the bleed
points of the safety equipment) even if the
safety element does not respond.
Appropriate protective equipment must be
installed to prevent personal injury.

3.2 Installation location

Safety equipment should be mounted as close
as possible to the hydraulic accumulator to
minimise the pressure loss up to the valve.
Furthermore, the connecting line to the safety
equipment should be as short and straight as
possible.
Safety equipment discharge ports should not
be sited opposite other valve ports.
Feed lines to safety equipment must be laid in
the direction of flow.
EN
Safety equipment must be protected from
damaging external influences, e.g. weather or
dust, which could impair its function.
The transfer of vibrations to the safety
equipment must be prevented.
Safety equipment must be accessible for
function testing and for maintenance.
3.3 Cross-sections
The cross-section of the pipe on the feed-line
side must not be smaller than the cross-section
of the safety equipment inlet (10 mm).
GSV:
The pressure drop in the pipe on the feed-
line side must not exceed 3% of the pressure
differential between the response pressure and
the back pressure for the max. mass flow rate.
Back pressures on the outlet side which affect
the cracking pressure and the cracking forces
or the mass flow rate must be taken into
account.

3.4 Installation
The warning notices given in Section 1.
"General information" must be followed.
On bladder accumulators, unscrew protection
cap (S) and seal cap (H) and remove
O-ring (O). Unscrew the gas valve insert (E)
completely using a valve extractor tool.
The operating manual must be observed!
"Operating manual, bladder accumulators"
No. 3.201.BA
On piston and diaphragm accumulators,
remove protection cap (S) and O-ring (O), and
then unscrew and completely remove the allen
screw (P) with hex key, AF width 6 (WZ2),
DIN ISO 2936.
The operating manual must be observed!

3.5 Mounting
Procedure for installing the GSV
NOTICE
Torque for the GSV = 80 Nm
The GSV must only be tightened on the
hexagon provided (11).
Do not use pliers or similar tools on the main
body (5) as there is a risk of damage.
It is forbidden to undo the glued hexagon
connection (11) from the valve body (5), since
this would inevitably alter the setting of the
device.
It is forbidden to remove the lead seal (2) and
the cap (1) and consequently to unscrew the
components because in so doing the setting of
the device would be altered and the GSV would
lose its approved status.
DANGER
When removing installed parts, be prepared
for them to be expelled at great speed.
Danger of fatal injury.
