7. Disposal
DANGER
Before carrying out any work on hydraulic
accumulators, the relevant safety precautions
must be taken.
When nitrogen is released from hydraulic
accumulators in enclosed spaces, adequate
ventilation must be provided.
Risk of suffocation.
Re-chargeable versions:
– Depressurise the fluid side
– Release pre-charge pressure (p
– Remove closing elements (e.g. valves/plugs)
on the gas and fluid sides
– Disassemble the hydraulic accumulator into
its constituent parts and dispose of them
according to material type
Non-re-chargeable versions:
– Depressurise the fluid side
– Secure the hydraulic accumulator
NOTICE
When releasing the pre-charge pressure (p
on non-re-chargeable hydraulic accumulators,
ear defenders, goggles and gloves must be
worn.

a hole in the piston via the fluid side
(drill ≤ 4 mm)
– Remove closing elements (e.g. valves/plugs)
on the gas and fluid sides
– Dispose of the hydraulic accumulator
8. Customer Service
Service, repeat testing and repairs can be
carried out at the HYDAC head office or at all
national and international HYDAC sales and
service centres.
