Be sure your power supply agrees with the nameplate
marking. Voltage decrease of more than 10% will cause loss
of power and overheating. Tools are factory tested; if this
tool does not operate, check power supply.
COMPONENTS (FIG. A)

WARNING: Never modify the power tool or any part
of it. Damage or personal injury could result.
Refer to Figure A at the beginning of this manual for a
complete list of components.

Polarized Plug

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a
polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This
equipment must be used with a suitable polarized 2 wire or
3 wire extension cord. Polarized connections will fit together
only one way. Make sure that the receptacle end of the
extension cord has large and small blade slot widths. If the
plug does not fit fully into the extension cord, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, obtain a suitable extension cord. If
the extension cord does not fit fully into the outlet, contact
a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not
change the tool plug or extension cord in any way.

Intended Use

Your heat gun has been designed for stripping paint,
soldering pipes, shrinking PVC, welding and bending
plastics as well as general drying and thawing purposes.
DO nOT use under wet conditions or in presence of
flammable liquids or gases.
The heat gun is a professional power tool.
DO nOT let children come into contact with the tool.
Supervision is required when inexperienced operators use
this tool.

To turn the tool on in low speed, low heat, depress the
side of the switch marked "I".
To turn the tool on in high speed, high heat, depress the
side of the switch marked "II".
To turn the tool off, return the switch to the middle
position marked "O".

Removing Paint (Fig. C)
Efficient paint removal requires the development of
technique. Follow the guidelines in this manual and you'll
find that you will have mastered the procedure after a few
simple projects.
Turn on the tool and hold the nozzle
(25mm) from the surface to be stripped, as shown in Fig. C.
(Give the unit about 15-20 seconds running time to reach
its full heat potential.)
Fig. C
The paint being heated will usually begin to blister when
it reaches the proper temperature for stripping. When it
reaches this point begin scraping with smooth, even strokes.
If the paint is sufficiently hot and the scraper is properly
suited to the surface being stripped, the paint should come
off in a strip equal to the full width of the scraper. Move the
unit slightly ahead of the scraper to assure that the paint
being stripped is softened.
Best results will be achieved if the heat gun is moved slowly,
but constantly, from side to side to evenly distribute heat.
Do not linger or pause in one spot.
