The symbol of a garbage can crossed off with an X located on the information label of the equipment indicates that, after
its complete use, the equipment should be disposed of and recycled as provided for by European Directive 2002/96/EC
and subsequent amendments. The Directive provides for the recycling of electric and electronic equipment in separate
containers by way of a garbage collection system called RAEE. When purchasing new equipment the user is obligated to
not dispose of the machine as general city garbage, but rather the user should redeliver the quipment, separately, to the
retailer or distributor. The retailer will see to its desposal following the procedure provided for by the RAEE garbage
collection system. When disposing of a machine on Italian territory contact the manufacturer, who will provide the
necessary information for the disposal of the machine at the garbage collection center closest to the user. Users who
reside outside Italy should contact the Ministry for the Environment in their country, who will provide the information
necessary for proper disposal. Failure to respect these procedures for disposal can produce negative effects that
damage the environment and people. Therefore wrongful disposal, entirely or partialy, of equipment will lead to
administrative sanctions by the Competen Authorities as reagards negligent or delinquent users.
