Using Monitor function:

To listen continuously, hold down the MONI button. A double beep will be heard, the reception remains open, allowing for both

noise and weak signals to be received. RX appears on the screen. To return to the normal reception mode, hold down the

MONI button.

Send an alert tone

To send an alert tone, briefly press the CALL button twice. The alert tone will be automatically emitted for a preset factory time.

The radio returns to standby mode after the alert tone is complete. For high performance, make sure the antenna is directed

upwards.

VOX function

The VOX is an auto-emission feature that is activated by speaking in the microphone without pressing the PTT button.

The PNI PMR R6 radio has this automatic emission function. It will emit only when it detects the sound of your voice or another

sound. Activating the VOX function is not recommended if you intend to use the radio in a noisy or windy environment because

it will emit continuously.

Press the MENU / PWR button three times; the LCD will display VX "Off"

Press the button

When the VOX function is activated, the "VX" icon will be displayed on the screen

NOTE: In VOX mode, the user can speak directly into the microphone thus activating the transmission.

Select the ringtone

This function allows the user to select the ringtone melody.

Press the MENU / PWR button four times to select the desired ringtone

Press the button

Press the push to talk (PPT) button to confirm channel setting or the MONI button or wait up to 10 seconds to confirm.

NOTE: 10 ringtones are available.

TOT function (Time out Timer)

To avoid damages caused by long emission

Press the MENU / PWR button five times, the screen will display OF. While the OF icon is flashing, press

select 30 (after 30 seconds of transmission, the radio will shut down), 60 (after 60 seconds of transmission, the radio will

shut down) and OF (to disable the function).

Roger Beep function

Press the MENU / PWR button 6 times. OF icon will appear on the screen. While the OF icon is flashing, press

to select ON or OFF. To confirm the setting, press the PTT or MONI button or wait for 10 seconds. When the radio is

on, the default setting for Roger Beep is off.

DCM (Dual Channel Monitor) function

Press the MENU / PWR button 8 times. OF icon will appear on the screen. While the OF icon is flashing, press

to select ON (enabled) or OF (disable). In this model, the LCD will display DCM at the top when the function is on. By

default, this feature is disabled. To confirm the setting, press the PTT or MONI button or wait for 10 seconds.
