The belts and pulleys are factory aligned and
tensioned when the machine is supplied with a
motor. For machines supplied without a motor, belt
alignment and tensioning are required, as shown in
Figure 3:
Loosen the nuts (1), the screws (8), the washers (2),
and remove the belt guard (3).
Assemble the electric or gasoline motor to the base
(10) of the equipment with the proper pulley (4) and
align the motor pulley with the desired rotor pulley
channel (5). The rotor pulley (5) has 2 channels,
assemble the belt (9) on the smallest diameter
channel for 4-pole motor and for 2-pole motor or
gasoline motor, assemble the belt (9) on the largest
diameter channel. If necessary contact a TRAPP
Technical Assistant.
After correctly assembling the belt (9), position the
tensioner (6) so that the belt (9) is tensioned and then
tighten the screw (7).
Then assemble the belt guard (3) with the appropriate
screws, making sure they are tight.
Electric
All TRAPP corn threshers, single-phase or three-
phase, are assembled with double voltage motors.
They leave factory without electrical connection to
allow the customer to choose the kind of connection
based on the voltage of their property power source.
To correctly make the connection, see data shown
on the motor plate and the number printed on the
insulation of the wires.
Check the mains voltage you want to start the motor.
Check the wiring diagram shown on the motor plate.

Figure 3
Open the motor wire housing cover and according
to the numbering shown, connect the motor wires to
the power switch wires.
After wiring, make sure all wires are well insulated
before starting the motor and checking the direction
of rotation.
If the direction of rotation is not correct, check the
motor plate diagram to reverse the direction of
rotation.
For corn threshers sold without motor, the choice of
minimum output shall follow the technical data
shown on page 36.
