to be withdrawn does not exceed the power output and
that no defective devices are connected.
12 V connection:
When overloaded, the 12 V connection (fig. 2/pos. 12) is
switched off. By pressing the overload switch (fig. 2/pos.
11), the 12 V connection may be taken into operation
once again.
Caution! Defective overload switches may only be
replaced by overload switches of the same type with the
same output data. Please contact your customer service
representative.
5.5 Switching off the engine
Let the generator run shortly without load before
•
switching it off in order that the aggregate may "after
cool" a little.
Turn the selection switch (fig. 1/pos. 3) to the "OFF"
•
position.
Turn the tank ventilation to "OFF" (fig. 4/pos. B).
•
6. Cleaning, maintenance, storage, transport
Before performing cleaning and maintenance works,
switch off the engine and pull the spark plug socket off
the spark plug.
Caution! Switch off the device immediately and
contact your service station:
In the event of unusual vibrations or noises
•
In the event of apparent overloading or backfiring of the
•
engine
6.1 Cleaning
Keep protective devices, air slots and engine housings
•
as free from dust and dirt as possible. Wipe the device
with a clean cloth or blow it with pressurised air at low
pressure.
We recommend cleaning the device directly after every
•
use.
Clean the device at regular intervals with a moist cloth
•
and soft soap. Do not use detergents or solvents as they
may attack plastic components of the device. Make sure
that no water enters the interior of the device.
6.2 Changing oil, checking oil level (before every
use)
The engine oil should be changed at operating state
temperature. Observe the service information as well.
Take a suitable container for changing the oil which
•
does not leak.
Remove the engine cover (fig. 6a-6b/pos. 5)
•
Remove the oil filling plug (fig. 8-9/pos. 26).
•
Drain the waste oil into a suitable container by tilting
•
the generator.
Fill in engine oil (15W40 above 0
•
up to the upper marking of the oil dipstick (fig. 7/pos. 16)
by using the supplied oil funnel (fig. 3/pos. 21).
Dispose of the waste oil according to the relevant
•
regulation. Dispose of the waste oil at a collecting point:
The majority of petrol stations, repair workshops or
collection stations accept waste oil free of charge. Do
not mix other substances such as anti-freeze compounds
or gear liquid with the waste oil. Keep it out of the reach
of children and vicinity of ignition sources.
6.3 Automatic oil switchoff
The engine cannot be started with too little engine oil.
•
In the event of too little engine oil during operation, the
•
oil warning signal (fig. 2/pos. 15) lights in red and the
engine turns off. If the engine is in standstill, the red oil
warning signal goes out.
Re-start can only be performed when engine oil has
•
been refilled.
