ADVICE ON HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL
Comply with the following instructions to correctly use the remote control:
1. Remove the battery if the remote control is not going to be used for a long
period of time.
2. When used, direct the remote control towards the signal receiver of the
interior unit (1).
3. The remote control signal is received up to a distance of 7 meters.
4. The signal must not be obstructed by any kind of object.
5. Handle the remote control with care.
6. The signal could be disturbed by a fast-acting lamp, a fluorescent lamp of the
inverter type or a mobile phone.
7. The remote control should not be left in a place where it could be exposed to
direct sunlight, near a stove or another heat source.
NOTE: The batteries described in point 1 must be kept in a safe place, well away
from children's reach.
INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERIES
To insert/replace batteries, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the cover (1).
2. Remove the discharged batteries and insert the new ones (2), making sure that
they are positioned as shown in the diagram in the battery housing.
3. Fit the cover (3) back in place.
When replacing batteries, the remote control maintains its settings as long as the
batteries are replaced within one minute.
NOTE: Remove the batteries from the remote control when the air conditioner is
not going to be used for a long period of time, must be kept in a safe place, well
away from children's reach.
To safeguard the environment and the safety of persons, always dispose of old
batteries in the specific containers.
INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL
The infrared remote control can be fixed to a wall using the relative support.
Make sure that there are no obstructions between the infrared signal transmitter
and the receiver on the interior unit.
REMOTE CONTROL AUTO-CONFIGURATION
When first fitting the batteries in the remote-control unit, do not touch any key for
at least 30 seconds, so as to allow the remote-control unit to automatically confi-
gure. If any key is pressed by mistake during the first 30 seconds, remove the bat-
teries, press the on/off key for 5 seconds repeatedly and fit the batteries back in
without pressing the keys.
