Charging the battery with charger POWERline2
16
A fully charged battery allows approx. 120
measurements to be performed. If the
HOMMEL TESTER is not in use, the se-
lected settings will remain in the memory for
approx. 14 days. If an exhausted battery is to
be changed, the stored data is conserved for
max. two minutes. Therefore a charged
battery should be prepared before battery
changing. During battery changing the T500
must be switched off.
a
Important:
Do not use 9V dry-cell batteries or any
different type of rechargeable battery
as they are unsuitable for use with the
T500 (only HW-art.-no. 023784, acces-
sories).
Insert the battery in the charging com-
partment of the charger (polarity is
marked in the compartment).
Plug the power plug in an convenient mains
socket (cf. identification plate) and place the
batteries into the battery mounting adapter
on the charger. The charger will then start au-
tomatically. The cells have not to be inserted
simultaneous, the charging processes being
separated from each other.
There are 2 green LEDs, every on of which is
allocated to a certain charging chamber. If
one of these green LEDs lights steadily, the
9V block belonging to it is charged.
When charging is finished, the batteries are
provided with trickle charging (the battery
reaches the max. charge). The batteries can
remain in the charger until use.
