THE CRUISE CONTROL
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. Škoda Auto recommends the fitting to
be carried out by its contract partners.
Add on control is similar to cruise control supplied directly ex works - Paket 8T2.
It can be installed in all Škoda Fabia, Fabia Combi and Fabia Sedan cars with the board net-
work control unit 6Q1... ... or 6Q0... ... Cars with the control unit 6Q2... ... it is necessary to
change it (for instructions see the Workshop Manual).
ATTENTION!
We do not recommend installation in cars with low-efficiency engines (e.g. 1.0 l/ 37 kW,
1.4 l/44 kW), where speed maintaining might be problematic with higher engine load.
In vehicles equipped with 1,2 l/40kW the cruise control cannot be used combined
with the 03D 906 032, 03D 906 032A, 03D 906 032F, 03D 906 032Q, 03D 906 032R and
03D 906 032P engine control units.
In vehicles equipped with 1.4 l/55kW and 1.4 l/74kW, the cruise control cannot be
used combined with the 036 906 034T and 036 906 034R engine control units.The pro-
per function of the cruise control for this engines can be guaranteed only when com-
bined with the 036 906 034AE, 036 906 034BL and 036 906 034BK engine units since
14. 12. 2000!
In vehicles equipped with 1.4 l/44 kW and 1.4 l/50 kW engines, a sporadic cruise control
failure may occur within "the power surges" caused by e.g. wiper turning on. This effect
cannot be claimed as the defect, if the cruise control is additionally installed.

Installation process

Undertake the disassembly and assembly of the individual components according to the
Workshop Manual.
During the installation, the car battery is to be disconnected.

- Remove the instrument assembly and the lower part of the dashboard on the right hand
side indicator switch with the cruise control switch (A).
