Technical data and characteristics
Table 2 in Chapter 8 shows the technical characteristics for each of the dehumidifier models of the EFT series.
Below the table you will find performance diagrams for each model. The various technical characteristics will be
analyzed in Chapter 5 where we will see the operation procedures. Regarding the performance diagrams, for each
model they show the curves of the performances typical of the various ambient temperatures and relative humidity.
Each diagram shows a family of curves, each of which corresponds to a given percentage of relative humidity.
Horizontally it shows the temperatures whereas the column on the left expresses the condensate amounts
collected in 24 hours. If you know the temperature and relative humidity (RH%), you can find out the performance
level.

Installation, start up, transportation, storage and elimination
4.1
Unpacking and assembling the accessories
As shown in fig.3, the machine is supplied in a cardboard box on a wooden pallet to facilitate its transportation and
handling. Inside is the handle (6) with lock screws and the present manual.
!
Do not lay the unit down in a horizontal position during unpacking.
!
Remove the cardboard delicately and vertically to avoid damaging the unit.
After arranging the components in a clean and convenient place, assemble the handle by slipping it into the legs.
Insert and tighten the two lock screws.
!
The accessories must be assembled before plugging the unit into the electrical outlet.
It is recommended to keep the packaging for in case the product needs to be returned or kept in long-term storage.
4.2
Installation and startup
As shown in fig.3, before starting to install and start up the unit, it is recommended to follow these suggestions and
take the following precautions:
The machine should be positioned vertically on an even surface that is stable. Make sure to remove
obstacles to make it easier to access the controls and connections;
When possible, position the machine in a central area with respect to the area that must be
dehumidified, possibly at 1 m above ground; in any case keep it at a minimum distance of 50 cm from
the wall to always allow a normal flow of air;
Avoid positioning the unit near sources of heat that would weaken performance;
The environment to be dehumidified must be as isolated as possible from surrounding areas; make
sure doors to other areas are closed so the machine does not waste energy treating additional air;
continuous opening and closing of doors and windows further reduces the performance level;
Installation in rooms having dust and ammonia require special attention during maintenance; this will
be dealt with in Chapter 6;
In a case of direct drainage by means of the tube 4 (fig.3), make sure the slope between the machine
connection and the drain point is sufficient to ensure drainage of the condensates by force of gravity;
otherwise the machine could become flooded; for the EFT PLUS series this is not a problem if you
select operation with the pump supplied and secure a tube to the tube holder 5 (fig.3).
