6.
Ordinary and extraordinary maintenance
In this Chapter you will find important indications regarding the maintenance of the machine, both ordinary and
extraordinary. If performed properly, maintenance allows you to obtain the maximum performance in the best
conditions of safety.
!
Noncompliance with the instructions in this manual and unauthorized changes made to the
machine will incur immediate termination of the warranty.
!
Before performing any maintenance operation, make sure all electrical connections are
disconnected from the machine.
!
Operations on the electrical system and parts of the cooling circuit must be performed by
authorized and qualified personnel.
6.1
Ordinary maintenance
Generally this type of machine simply requires a routine cleaning of certain parts to ensure the passage sections of
the various fluids are always free:
¤
Routinely clean the dust-removal filter 7 (Fig. 3) according to the following indications:
Rotate the filter fastener plate and pull out the dust-removal filter from its seat;
Visually check the degree of dirtiness;
In normal situations it is sufficient to suction in the direction opposite normal flow;
In other cases it is necessary to wash the filter with soap and water and rinse with a slight waterjet
(max. 40°C) in the direction opposite normal flow; in this case, wait for the filter to be dry before
putting it back in the machine;
If the filter is excessively dirty, replace it with an original spare filter.
¤
Routinely check for signs of clogging on the front grille for air outflow so performance is not hindered; if
necessary, vacuum the dirt and remove it with a brush.
¤
Routinely clean the tray with a cloth to eliminate residues on the bottom that over time might hinder the
pump suction process.
¤
Routinely check the pump suction filter (only the PLUS version) and, if necessary, clean it adequately.
Regular cleaning operations of the body can be carried out with normal household cleansers and a cloth.
!
Do not use water jets to clean the machine.
6.2
Extraordinary maintenance
After a long period of operation it might be necessary or advisable to perform a more thorough cleaning inside the
machine. Keep in mind the following suggestions and precautions.
!
All operations referred to in this paragraph must be performed by appropriately authorized and
qualified personnel.
6.2.1
Cleaning the condenser (finned pack exchanger)
if it becomes necessary to clean the condenser fins, follow these general guidelines:
!
Do not use water jets or violent air jets during cleaning because the condenser lamellae are
very delicate.
!
The condenser lamellae are very cutting; avoid touching the fins with your fingers.
To perform this operation you must open the machine cover and remove the fasteners of the
evaporation coils to access the lamellae; be careful to not to damage the cooling circuit tubes;
