2.5 Operating the appliance safely with gas
When using the appliance in tents, awnings and on level patios,
make sure there is sufficient air circulation and ventilation.
Never use a naked flame to check for leaks.
Never place the appliance near flammable materials such as
paper, dry leaves and textiles.
Only use propane or butane gas (not natural gas).
Always operate the appliance at the pressure shown on the
type plate. Use a DIN-DVGW-approved pressure regulator with
a fixed setting in accordance with DIN EN 12864.
Never store liquid gas cylinders where there is poor ventilation
or below ground level (funnel-shaped holes in the ground).
Keep liquid gas cylinders away from direct sunlight. The temper-
ature may not exceed 50 °C.
The appliance may not be operated with gas on ferries.
Make sure the hoses:
– Are not jammed or kinked
– Are at a safe distance from the burner
If you smell gas:
– Close the gas supply cock and close the valve on the cylin-
der.
– Open the windows and leave the room.
– Do not use any electrical switches.
– Put out any naked flames.
