Introduction
The Vetus inverter creates alternating current of 230 Volt 50 Hz
from the 12 or 24 volt direct current supplied by the batteries.
1.1
Properties
• Pure sinusoidal alternating current (suitable for all electronic
equipment)
• Accurate and stable frequency, controlled by microproces-
sor
• Adjustable frequency, 50 or 60 Hz
• Very low total harmonic deformation, < 3%
• Output voltage adjustable 200 V, 220 V, 230 V or 240 V
• High peak power
• Suitable for inductive loads, loads with high switch-on cur-
rent such as electric motors (electrical tools, refrigerators and
similar)
• The nominal power may be taken up to ambient temperature
of 50 °C
• High efficiency, 83 - 85 %, thus little heat produced
• Input available for shore power supply with built-in UPS
(Uninterruptible Power Supply) function, switching time < 10
msec.
• Output for alternating current with universal connections
• Power supply 12 V or 24 V direct current
• Energy-saving, the power consumed when unloaded in
Power Save mode is less than 3 Watts
• Indication of battery voltage and the loading in %
• Protected against:
- too low input voltage
- too high input voltage
- overloading
- short-circuiting
- too high ambient temperature
- connection to battery terminals the wrong way round
• Compact and lightweight
• Remote control available as option
1.2
Included in delivery
• Inverter
• KST battery plug
• Female socket for connection of shore power supply
• Two adapters for connection of output voltage
In contrast to the 12 or 24 Volt direct current from the bat-
teries the 230 V alternating current from the inverter is life-
threatening. Treat the 230 V connection from the inverter
in the same way as a power socket on shore.
