General

Warning!
Life-threatening voltages are present in the inverter!
Therefore never open the inverter!
Never expose the inverter to rain, snow, spray, bilge water or
dust.
Never cover the ventilation openings. Never position the inverter
in a space that is about the same size as the inverter. This can
lead to overheating.
The insulation of the existing electrical wiring must be in good
condition to prevent the risk of fire or electric shock. The cross-
section of wires may never be too small.
Do not take the inverter into service if the wiring does not comply
with these requirements.
The inverter contains parts that can cause sparks. In order to
prevent fire or explosion the inverter must not be installed in a
space in which there are batteries or combustible material.
Do not install the inverter in a space where 'Ignition protected'
equipment is required (a space containing petrol engines, fuel
tanks or connections from the fuel tank to the engine).
Warnings and safety instructions with respect to batteries:
Wear eye protection.
Keep children away from acids and batteries.
Danger of explosion:
A very explosive gas mixture of hydrogen and air is formed while
charging batteries, therefore:
Fire, sparks, naked flames and smoking are forbid-
den.
• Prevent the formation of sparks when dealing with cables
and electrical equipment and as a result of electrostatic dis-
charge
• Prevent short-circuiting
Danger of corrosion:
• Battery acid is very corrosive, therefore:
• Wear protective gloves and eye protection
• Do not tip the battery; acid can run out of the ventilation open-
ings
