HOW TO USE THE SAFETY HARNESS
This stroller has a 5-point safety harness featuring two shoulder
straps, a lap belt and a crotch strap with dual safety buckle.
WARNING: For use with newborns up to about 6 months you
must use the two shoulder straps by fi rst passing them through
the two adjustment holes.
17. Insert the safety buckle through the appropriate fabric holes
(fi g. 17 A) and check that the shoulder straps are the perfect
height for your child: If they are not, adjust the height (fi g. 17
B).
18. After seating your child in the stroller, insert the 2 clips into
the buckle and if required, adjust the lap belt using the buckles
(fi g. 18).
19. For greater safety, the stroller is equipped with D rings
for an additional safety belt in compliance with the BS 6684
standard. The rings are positioned inside the seat of the stroller
on the left and right sides as shown in fi g. 19.
20. To unhook the lap belt, press the two side clips at the same
time (fi g. 20).
WARNING: To guarantee the safety of your child, always use
the safety harness.
WARNING: To guarantee the safety of your child, always use
both the crotch strap and the safety harness.
BACKREST ADJUSTMENTS
21. By pressing the button located on the backrest of the
stroller, the inclination can be adjusted; releasing the button,
the backrest locks into the closest position. To raise the
backrest, just push it upwards (fi g. 21).
WARNING: The child's weight can make these operations
diffi cult.
LEG REST ADJUSTMENTS
22. Press the two tabs to adjust the leg rest to the position
desired (fi g. 22).
REMOVABLE BUMPER BAR
23. To mount the bumper bar: Remove the caps on the ends of
the armrest, push the two buttons located under the armrest
and pull it towards yourself (fi g. 23). Insert the two ends of the
bumper bar in the holes found on the armrest.
To remove the bumper bar, press the two buttons located
under the armrests and pull the bumper bar towards yourself.
Open only one side of the bumper bar to make it easier to put
the child in the stroller.
WARNING: Keep the caps stored out of reach from children.
WARNING: Always buckle your child in with the safety harness.
The bumper bar is not a restraining device for children.
WARNING: Never use the bumper bar to lift the stroller with
the child in it.
ADJUSTABLE DOUBLE TWIST ERGONOMIC HANDGRIP
24. By pressing the button located on the handle, it is possible
to rotate the grip to the desired position, adjusting it to a com-
fortable height and position for the user (fi g. 24).
The grip can be adjusted to 8 different positions.
25. WARNING: While using the stroller, the grip must not be
used in the lowered position (fi g. 25 A). When using, the grip
must be in the upper position, as shown in fi gure 25 B.
REAR BRAKES
The rear wheels are equipped with linked brakes, allowing both
pairs of rear brakes to operate at the same time, using just one
pedal.
26. To apply the brake to the stroller, press downward on one
of the two levers located in the centre of the rear wheels unit,
as shown in fi gure 26.
27. To release the braking system, pull upward one of the two
levers located in the centre of the rear wheels unit, as shown
in fi gure 27.
WARNING: Always apply the brakes whenever the stroller is
stationary.
WARNING: Never leave the stroller on a sloped surface with
the child on board, even with the brakes applied.
WARNING: After applying the brake lever make sure that the
brakes are properly applied on both of the rear wheel units.
SWIVEL WHEELS
The front wheels of the stroller can be swivelled or fi xed.
28. In order for the wheel to turn freely, lower the lever located
between the two wheels. Use the swivel option on smooth
surfaces. To lock the wheels return the lever to the upper
position (fi g. 28).
WARNING: The swivel wheels make it easier to manoeuvre the
stroller; on rough ground it is advisable to use the wheels in
a locked position to ensure that the stroller moves smoothly
(gravel, dirt roads, etc.).
WARNING: All the wheels must always be locked or unlocked
at the same time.
CLOSING THE STROLLER
WARNING: When opening the stroller make sure that your
child or other children are at a safe distance. During these
operations ensure that the moveable parts of the stroller do
not come into contact with the child.
29. Raise the side brackets of the hood and fold it (fi g. 29).
30. Pull both trigger mechanisms, located on the handles,
towards you (fi g. 30 A); keeping them pulled, unhook the rear
u-joint pulling it upward with tip of your foot (fi g. 30 B).
31. Grasp the closing handle and pull it upwards, until the
stroller is completely closed and locked (fi g. 31).
The closed and locked stroller is self-standing.
HOW TO USE THE CAR SEAT AND CARRYCOT
CHICCO strollers that have the CLIK CLAK system on the
armrests allowing the carrycot and/or car seat to be fastened
to the frame of the stroller without having to use additional
equipment.
To fi t and remove the carrycot or the car seat refer to the
specifi c instructions.
32. Before fi tting the car seat or carrycot, remove the upper
parts of the armrests covers or fully remove the lower lining
(fi g. 32 A and B).
WARNING: Only the CHICCO car seats and carrycots featuring
the CLIK CLAK devices can be fi tted to the stroller. Before using
the stroller with the carrycot or car seat fi tted to it, always
check that the locking system is correctly and safely locked.
ONLY USE ACCESSORIES EQUIPPED WITH THE SPECIAL
CLICK CLAK DEVICE.
33. WARNING: Incorrect attachment of the carrycot to the
frame (e.g. mounting backwards) could result in malfunction
of the locking system, making it impossible to unlock. In this
case, the hooks can be manually unlocked using a screwdriver
on the lever located under the armrest, accessible through the
special holes (fi g. 33).
