Overview
The Tru-Test XRP EID
Reader (XRP Reader) is a dual mode FDX-B / HDX EID reader optimized for high performance with ISO animal tags, operating
1
at 134.2 KHz with read distances of up to 1 m, depending on the tag and environmental conditions.
The Tru-Test XRP EID Reader is part of the Tru-Test XRP EID Reader System. The Tru-Test XRP EID Reader System identifies and reads electronic tags
on individual animals, allowing for accurate traceability and management of stock.
A Tru-Test Cattle Antenna or Tru-Test Sheep Antenna is connected to the Tru-Test XRP EID Reader which may be connected to a Tru-Test weigh scale
indicator or a PC.
This diagram is an example of how the Tru-Test XRP EID Reader System works in practice. Here, a cow has entered a cattle crush. Its EID tag is
sensed by the Tru-Test Cattle Antenna, read by the Tru-Test XRP EID Reader and passed to the Tru-Test weigh scale indicator. At the same time, the
animal's weight is recorded automatically as it stands on the Tru-Test Load Bars beneath the crush.
Features of the Tru-Test XRP EID Reader include a fast auto-tuning technique and Digital Signal Processing capability to increase read range and to
reduce unwanted interference effects.
The Sync model of Tru-Test XRP EID Reader has a Synchronisation option for situations where multiple readers are used in close proximity.
EID = Electronic Identification. This term is equivalent to RFID = Radio Frequency Identification, in respect of this and similar products.
