11 Disassembly
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
Improper operation can lead to serious injuries that could result in death.
The following instructions must be adhered to during all maintenance, servicing, assembly, disassembly, and repair work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
NOTICE
• Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform work on the device or system.
• Observe the information provided in the following section:
8 Decommissioning on page EN-23.
1 Unscrew the screws and remove the cleaning unit.

Cause
• Compressed air supply/hose
connection interrupted
• Solenoid valve Y3 does not switch
• Valve actuator does not move
• Working pressure too low
• Actuator stiff
• Dirty cutting edge
• Worn cutting edge
• The wire has no contact with the fixed
jaws
• Counter support jammed
• Proximity switch loose or defective
• Cable loose or defective
Troubleshooting
• Check all supply lines leading to the
cylinder, solenoid valve Y3, and threaded
fittings
• Check the signal output of the robot control
• Replace directional valve Y3
• Check the pressure regulator setting:
Min. 4 bar/max. 8 bar
• Remove, clean, and lubricate movable parts
• Clean more often
• Clean
• Change approach position P1
• Replacing the cutter
• Correct the approach position of the
welding torch
• Remove, clean, and lubricate movable parts
• Tighten the mounting screws
• Reposition and secure
• Replace
