8. Recorded sound is unsatisfactory or interrupted
• Is the input level set appropriately?
• Could the STAGEMAN 80 have been subjected to an impact
during recording?
• Is the reverb effect set correctly?
9. Can't play songs or audio files; no playback is heard
• Is an SD card inserted?(see page 10 "About SD cards")
• Does the SD card contain data?
• Could the top panel RHYTHM/PLAY knob be set to a low
setting?
• Could the STAGEMAN 80 be in a mode other than Player
mode or Recorder mode?
10. Can't enter Recorder mode or Player mode
• Is an SD card inserted?
• If you cannot enter Player mode, does the SD card contain a
playable audio file (WAV 44.1 kHz 16-bit stereo)?

Error messages
If an error occurs on the STAGEMAN 80 or on the SD card,
the display shows the following messages.
Crd - bSy (Card-Busy)
The SD card has a slow access speed, and cannot keep up
with recording or playback. Use a different SD card.
• As you repeatedly write or delete songs, the order of the
songs on the SD card can become discontinuous, lowering
the processing capability. If this occurs, back up the
important songs to your computer, and then format the SD
card before using it further.
Err - Crd - *** (Card Error)
An error occurred while accessing the SD card.
Connect the SD card to your computer and check it. If an
error message is displayed, format the SD card.
Err/Un-/SUP/Frt (Error Unsupported [File] Format)
The music data is in a format that the STAGEMAN 80 cannot
play.
Crd - FUL (Card Full)
The SD card has insufficient free capacity. Delete unneeded
songs.
Err - FSY - *** (File System Error)
An error occurred during SD card processing. If this occurs
frequently even after you've switched to a different SD card,
please contact your country's Korg Distributor.
no-Crd (No Card)
No SD card is inserted.
no-dat (No data)
The SD card does not contain a playable audio file.
Un - Frt (Unformat)
The SD card is not formatted.
Other messages
Other messages may be displayed if the STAGEMAN 80
experiences an internal problem or malfunction. Please
contact your country's Korg Distributor.
