ZOOMING IN ON A SUBJECT (OPTICAL
ZOOM)
Telephoto and wide-angle shooting are possible at 4x magnification (the
optical zoom limit, equivalent to 27 mm to 110 mm on a 35 mm camera). By
combining the optical zoom with the digital zoom, zoom magnification can be
increased to a maximum of approximately 14x.
Camera movement is likely to occur at higher magnifications. Stabilize the
camera with a tripod, etc. to avoid camera movement.
1
Turn the zoom lever.
2
Take the picture while looking in the viewfinder.
• Pictures taken with the digital zoom may appear grainy.
