4.2 Assembling and Installing
Twin Turbo G2 Fall Protec-
tion System (with optional
Harness D-Pad Clip)
To assemble and install Twin Turbo
G2 Fall Protection System with har-
ness D-pad clip, see Fig. 5a (Steps 1
& 2) and Fig. 5b (Steps 3, 4 & 5).
4.3 Assembling and Installing
Twin Turbo G2 Fall Protec-
tion System (without using
optional Harness D-Pad Clip)
• Honeywell harnesses with sewn back
pads (back pads sewn to the harness
shoulder straps) do not require the use
of the harness D-pad clip as the sewn
back pad performs a similar function of
minimizing connector slippage.
To assemble and install Twin Turbo
G2 Fall Protection System without
harness D-pad clip, see Fig. 5a (Steps
1 & 2) and Fig. 5c (Steps 3, 4 & 5).
WARNING
Webbing must be captured by connec-
tor carabiner and retainer clip.
6
See Fig. 6a for another example
showing
the
Titan
where the D-pad clip is not needed.
Side views (see Fig. 6b) show how carabiner
is behind webbing and in front of D-ring. G2
Connector and D-ring must be in the same
webbing loop through the D-pad to work prop-
erly. D-pad clip is not needed in this applica-
tion.
5.0 Use
Once the Twin Turbo G2 Fall Protection
System has been properly assembled and
connected to the harness, don the harness,
ensuring that it is properly fitted according to
the harness instructions. Connect the lifeline
end snap hook (or other connector) of one of
the PFLs/SRLs to an approved anchorage.
Anchorages must be capable of supporting
a 5,000 pound (22.2kN) tensile load, or they
must be designed, installed, and used under
the supervision of a qualified person as part of
a complete fall arrest system which maintains a
safety factor of two. Make sure the connection
between the PFL/SRL and the anchorage is
compatible with regard to size, strength and
shape. Always verify that the connector gate is
completely closed and locked.
While the Twin Turbo G2 System is designed
to provide a user with two connecting devices
for continuous 100% tie-off fall protection, it is
important to note that both PFLs/SRLs should
only be connected at the same time when
transitioning from one anchorage to another.
During the normal course of work, only one
of the PFLs/SRLs should be connected to the
anchorage.To retain 100% tie-off, one PFL/
SRL must be connected to an anchorage at
all times.
