The ability for an engine to continue to run without a battery connected will vary, depending
on the make and model of the vehicle.

As soon as the engine starts, and while keeping the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster clamped
and the battery lead connected, attach the positive lead to the positive battery terminal and
tighten the terminal clamp. After the positive lead has been secured to the battery terminal,
switch off the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster and disconnect it from the battery.
4.4. Glow Mode:
In cold weather, the glow plugs in most diesel vehicles will energise first to heat up
the engine chamber before the engine starts, as indicated by the GLOW sign on the
dashboard.
The process takes about 4-6 seconds. In this case, after the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster
is fully recharged and connected to the vehicle battery, press the ON/OFF button and then
press the GLOW button, and finally turn on the ignition.
NOTE: GLOW is inactive in 'Override' mode.
4.5. Lithium Back-up Battery Pack:
This BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster is equipped with a lithium battery pack that it is able
to charge the ultracapacitors when the battery of the vehicle to be boosted has not got
enough energy to recharge the ultracapacitors by itself.
To charge the ultracapacitors of the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster, press during 2 seconds
the ON/OFF button with the device switched on. Ultra-capacitor charge value is displayed
on the Digital Display as follows:
The Ultra-capacitor load is finished once the value 100 has been reached.
Recharge the battery pack with a micro USB charger. Once the micro USB charger is
connected, press the ON/OFF button to start the charge.
Battery pack specification: 11.1 V 2200 mAh.
WARNING
The lithium Back-up Battery Pack will not charge the ultracapacitors if the level of
charging of them is above 80%.
The minimum output that the USB charger used needs to deliver for being able to charge
the Back-up Lithium Battery is 1.0A. Below this amperage value, the Back-up Lithium
Battery will not be charged and you will get an error message on the Digital Display.
Recharge time: 5-8 hours, depending on the type of connection.
To check the charging level of the lithium battery, press ON/OFF, indicators will show the
battery status.
Fully recharge the lithium battery pack at least once a year.
4.6. Ultra capacitors working cycle:
Maximum three boosting attempts in a row.
Allow a 20-minute interval between each session.
Do not leave the engine running without the BBH12-1200 Hybrid Booster
