Sinking and Sourcing

Any MicroLogix 1000 DC input can be configured as sinking or sourcing
depending on how the DC COM terminal is wired.
Mode: Definition:
The input energizes when high-level voltage is applied to the
Sinking input terminal (active high). Connect the power supply VDC (–)
to the corresponding DC COM terminal.
The input energizes when low-level voltage is applied to the input
Sourcing terminal (active low). Connect the power supply VDC (+) to the
corresponding DC COM terminal.
