MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

To obtain long, trouble-free service from the unit, follow
these instructions:
▪ The R-080404 / R-080406 has a circuit breaker that
protects the machine against electric overloads. Once
the problem is solved, press the circuit breaker
located on the side of the machine (E) to get it into
work again.
• Message "tH1" means that the thermal probe is
broken and must be replaced.
▪ Message "tri" means that the triac is broken and
must be replaced.
▪ The R-080404 / R-080406 has a circuit breaker that
protects the machine against accidental overheating
as it detects excessive temperature and cuts off
machine operation. Once the machine returns to
normal temperature, the security contactor has to be
reset. To access this, proceed as follows:
1.
Take off the lower panel by removing the
fastening screws.
2.
Unscrew and extract the front of the machine
holding the control unit.
3.
Press the contactor (F).
4.
Follow these instructions in reverse order to
reassemble the unit.
5.
Carry out a test to check operation of the
polymeriser.
▪ Clean the inside of the tank approximately every 20
hours, by heating the water to 75 ºC, then emptying
the tank through the drainage tap at the back.
▪ Unplug the polymeriser and clean the inside of the
tank with a fine scourer moistened in soapy water,
taking care not to damage the heating element or
temperature probe. Special products for cleaning
polymerisers may also be used. Rinse the inside of
the tank with plenty of water and then close the
drainage tap.
▪ At intervals which will depend on how hard the water
is, clean away any limescale which may have been
deposited on the shower nozzles or electric heating
element, using a scale remover. Anti-limescale
products may also be used.
▪ To clean the outside housing of the unit use a cloth
moistened in soapy water. Do not use solvents or
other inflammable products.

added
recommendations should always be followed in this
case.
▪ After using the polymeriser, remove wax, foam,
remains of resin and other particles which may be left
floating on the water.
▪ For
MESTRAITUA, S.L. recommends the use of
MESTRA muffles and flanges.
▪ Clean the unit's control panel regularly with a damp
cloth. Always disconnect the machine before doing
this.
PRECAUTIONS
▪ Before connecting the unit ensure that the power
supply is 230 V, 50/60 Hz and earthed. It should also
be protected by a thermal magnetic cut-out. Consult
your installer concerning these matters.
▪ Do not allow children or unskilled personnel to
handle the unit.
▪ Use long gauntlets and muffle tongs whenever you
put muffles into the tank or take them out.
▪ Open the cover carefully: steam pouring out from the
tank could cause burns.
▪ Always keep the unit's cover closed while
polymerisation programs are running.
▪ Never place more than 9 muffles on the polymerising
tray.
▪ Always keep at least 20 cm of water in the bottom of
the tank, as the heating elements may be damaged if
the level is lower.
▪ Always leave a gap of at least 15 cm between the
unit's ventilation grille and the nearest wall or other
object.
▪ Before plugging in the unit, fill the tank with water to
10 cm below the cover.
▪ TALLERES MESTRAITUA, S.L. recommends
polymerising at around 95 ºC. At higher temperatures
too much steam may be generated.
